We, as a human race, are at a point in our history where we have access to almost unending information.  In the countries of the world where, thankfully, our information access is largely unlimited, we can find out ANYTHING.  The Internet.  It has allowed us an existence that we couldn't have fathomed 20 years ago.  As a thirty-something, I remember before we had this luxury.  I remember having a question and going to the library, the encylopedia, or leaving it to "I wonder..."  I think this is amazing.  I think that our world is moving towards a mental unification, a mutual understanding and acceptance.  But then I see what others are thinking.  They do not see what I see, what others who think that we all have valuable qualities see.

We are at a strange place in our history.  We can know anything.  We can see a villager in Zimbabwe talking about his daily life in a streaming video...a child of a wealthy family in America talk about her interests...anything.  Instantly.  But many resist information.  In the United States, there has been such a resistance to new information, and rejection of things we've come to accept as general knowledge.  We are recessing back before former obstacles that our society had previously overcome.  What is going on?  Where do we go from here?

I am sad and confused.
